A great desk can make a home office shine. From tech newbie to gadget geek, we all need a good structure to support our gear. Whether you buy one, find one, or build your own, a desk needs to be able to work with your equipment and working style.

We thought we'd share some AT readers desks with you for a little inspiration. Above is a work area designed for a photo studio in Chicago. We love all of the workspace and its custom design.

We liked this cool, little desk for a laptop user that doesn't require a lot of surface space.

This desk seems to work well without needing a lot of storage devices. The computer, stereo equipment, and other essentials all sit effortlessly on this simple desk.

This desk is attractive and efficient with built in cubbies for storing gear. We also like the added shelf that keeps the monitor at a level for better viewing and retains workspace for when you're not on the computer.

(Thanks dmadura, jackcheng, saidalice, and oteach1 for your photos!)

Does anyone know where I can find the cool little laptop desk (second pic)? I have been looking for a new desk and absolutely love that one!

Hey Lexo, if you're in the NYC area you might save yourself a few bucks and buy mine... (While probably perfect for laptop use, I'm cramming a large-ish desktop computer on there and it just ain't working for me.)

The first picture is amazing. I would love to have that as a piece of home office furniture, me and my wife work together as graphic designers but always struggle to have enough space for both of us and our computers on the desk we currently have, this would easily solve that problem. It even looks big enough to have a TV placed in the middle and have a multi-function if turned into a part of our living room. It really has an amazing shape.
