Flickr Finds: Alexander's Custom Wifi

2008-3-13-machifi.jpg
Passionate about your music? This music lover wanted a spot in his home for a custom music setup, and what he built was a powerful hifi that could also double as a workstation.

He uses a Mac mini and external hard drive to power and house his music collection. The Canton speakers are augmented by a Yamaha Receiver below. This display allows easy access to iTunes or a monitor for working, if the situation calls for it.

The entire system sits on a beautiful dark shelf serving as a sideboard, and is complemented by a stool from Bo Concept.

Nice, but it's a shame the wires ruin it for me. Get the bluetooth keyboard and mouse. Then why not fish the wires behind the wall in a stud bay? It's so easy to do and you can patch and paint it if you move. No one will ever know.
