Flickr Finds: The Refined Way to Sticker Your Laptop

042309_tf_circlecollage1.jpgDid you see the post yesterday on whether or not you plaster your machine with stickers? Some of you said the style was right up your alley, but some thought that stickers make your laptop look messy. Well Phil Hawksworth's computer, spotted on Flickr, should strike the fancy of people on both sides of the fence. The design has got the artsy collage look going on, but the whole pattern stays streamlined within an unfinished circle shape...

042309_tf_circlecollage2.jpgWe love Phil Hawksworth's laptop artwork for the way it combines the anarchistic chaos of overlapping stickers with a bit of materialism in corporate logos, all in a tight, modern and sharp-looking shape that tightly encircles the Apple logo on the back of his MacBook Pro.

And yes, please note that the logos in question are all geek-specific. Included in the design are stickers from Flickr, Ubuntu, Yahoo!, Mozilla, Mozilla Firefox, the Adobe Creative Suite, RSS feeds and Apple (besides the big glowing logo, check out the semi-transparent top half of an apple sticker sticking up from the edge in the bottom center).

How abou now, Unplggd? Is this refined collage something you could stick to?

My partner has a matching skin on his white macbook and ipod classic, looks really cool, people assume he did it himself and asked him how much he charges!

i wanted to sticker my macbook, but i decided to get it engraved instead: http://www.flickr.com/photos/chix0r/2490375769/

Engravings look a lot nicer on the aluminum MacBooks/Pro/Air, but on my black one it makes everyone not see all the fingerprints and dust. :D

I usually hate stickers on most things, but this actually looks nice... but there still is the unfortunate sticky residue if they were ever removed.

Why wouldn't he cover the Apple logo? He obvious has stickers and knows how to use them.
