Michi Jung's Tasty Sounding Chocolate Music Furniture

Michi Jung's Chocolate Music ottoman is an obvious ode to that most delectable of treats, combining the appearance of a huge cube of our favourite confectionery with that of sound system embedded inside the tufted upholstered finish of an ottoman that hints of grandfather's study. Hook up an iPod, pour yourself some cognac and relax (or so we imagine ourselves doing so)...

Here's Michi Jung's description of the Chocolate Music as described for the 100% Design London exhibit:

There is a need for a new type environment of social in which the home is central. House concerts are becoming more frequent moments of meeting at home.

Music Chocolat fits into this context, combining a classic taste with new hi-tech features so that the furniture itself becomes the protagonist of these moments. The project involves a unique design concept, in which the "sound" becomes part of the link between style and quality and made in Italy style and quality of life.
Adding a new function to that of traditional Pouf is a distinctive feature of the project: the pouf is an audio amplifier for i-pod and MP3 players equipped with an external pocket ad-hoc. A new way to live and share own music at home.

And if one cube of chocolate, there's a chaise lounge model which controls an MP3 or other digital audio device via the head pillow.
