Good Questions: Matching Headphones For DS Lite

ant-dslite.jpgA good friend of mine shot me a question this morning so I thought I'd post it here to get more feedback from our wonderful audiophiles and chic designer readers.

Dear Unplggd,

I just got a DS Lite (finally) and I'm looking for some nice matching headphones to complement the DS Lite's shiny black and crimson red trim. It's going to be sitting on my desk for the most part, so I don't want my iPod headphones to make it an eyesore due to clashing color schemes every day. Anything will help! Thanks guys!

Featured up top are the Philips SBC HS383 headphones, which are pretty rare to find if you try to google them. So, feel free to check out our other recommendation!

ant-vmoda.jpgI always found the V-MODA Vibe Duos to complement the black and red combination quite well, all while also providing sound isolation. The heavily industrial feel also makes it very sweet looking - like a PRADA purse on your ears. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

i'm just going to say wow, having to match your headphones to you ds and don't want it to clash with your ipod headphones... seriously... do you really care about how you look that much...

just seems like when you're buying headphones, the top priorities would be sound, and comfort, maybe price, with how they look coming in 3rd or 4th

"Like a PRADA purse on your ears" - I'm going to be cracking up about that idea for quite a while.

And while I've never really tried matching my headphones, they have a bunch of cute choices in various colors at Audiocubes.

I'm just going to say that first comment wasn't really necessary. There's a lot of good sounding cans that come in plenty of colors now, so I say go for it! I've even done it myself - from Audiocubes too, so I recommend them as well.
