Good Questions: Must... Find... This Perfect TV Stand

031609_an_w-cropcircles.jpgUnplggd reader James is lookin' for a little help in the TV stand department. Any takers?

I recently moved in with my girlfriend in Boston and we have a really, really tiny space to pull all of our stuff. We downsized a great deal and recently started working on our living room. I have a 27" TV, a Wii, and a mid-sized receiver. I found this TV stand on Aimee Wilder's wallpapers and was wondering if you guys had any idea on where I could find the TV stand in the picture? Thanks!

Well, James, we here at Unplggd are always looking to help one of our readers out when it comes to finding the perfect living room furniture. Unfortunately, this time around, we're not too sure ourselves. It looks almost like a custom piece from the vintage construction of it - the casters look 3rd party and the fiberboard looks store bought as well. As for the actual wooden media stand itself, we don't recall ever coming across it before. So let's hope some of our readers have a better idea on where to grab a similar piece.

Oh, and if anyone's curious, that wallpapaer is the Crop Circles design from Aimee Wilder's designs.

It looks like an easy Ikea Hack to me. Check www.racksandstands.com too. there is a ton of TV stands on that site.

I built one very similar to the one in the picture. Actually, mine is a hack of a design in Todd Oldham's Handmade Modern book.

It's Blu Dot I think, but discontinued. There's one on craigslist in Minneapolis - perhaps the poster of the ad would know more? http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/fuo/1054584209.html
