Good Questions: Recycle My Media?

2007_11_05 pile-of-cds.jpg

Dear AT: HT,

Where can I go to recycle my computer media? And by computer media I mean: floppy disks, zip drive disks, jazz drive disks, tape drives, cds, etc and other media that were far too short-lived to even be mentioned.

I've done some googling and have found plenty of places that will take CD-ROM drives but no places that will take actual media. I've also found some DIY solutions but I am really trying to get get rid of stuff, not repurpose it. :)

I would be most interested in SF/Bay Area places too.

Thanks,
Aileen

GreenDisk will take all of those and more. It doesn't cost much either. http://www.greendisk.com/

Wow, awesome. Thanks TheGreenCat for the link! I will definitely look into using them for recycling my family's formidable collection of 3.5" floppy disks. >:]
