Good Questions: Secure My Flat Screen?

flatscreentv.JPGHelp! We finally decided to upgrade to a flat screen TV sitting over a media center (for stashing electronics.) I'd sketched out a long, sleek media center to be built custom, but now I'm wondering how to securely attach the TV. We can't put it on the wall, which is ancient brick. Having it fall over on our 2-year old would be bad.

Some companies like BDI have a built-in system for attaching the TV just above the cabinet. Does anyone know if it's possible to buy a stand that can be screwed into a custom cabinet?

Any ideas would be helpful.

Thanks,
Heather

I don't know of any specifically, but they've got to be out there. Worst comes to worst, just drill a few holes in the existing base. Why do you need to secure it down anyway?
