Originating in Sydney, the point of earth hour is to inspire people to take action against climate change. Since the benefit will only be realized if the entire world follows suit, this years Earth Hour is going global. Just think of the impact that such a simple action will have on a global scale, and the more that people that are thinking about it, the better chance that energy conservation becomes a habit.
