Energy star means greener electronics, right? It turns out that Energy Star ratings for LCD TVs aren't as complete as they should be. Currently, if a TV carries an Energy Star sticker, it means that it meets the standards for power consumption for standby mode. However, it means nothing about the amount of power it uses while its actually on.
GetWithGreen has compiled a list of Energy Star certified LCD TVs, complete with their respective standby and active power.
