Here's a unique space-saver: a combination washing machine and air conditioner in one unit. It's by Toshiba, and it's going to be available later this month for $2,600, but only in Japan.
Real estate is comparatively quite expensive, so every inch counts in tiny apartments. However, this leads us to question a few things...like how to create some kind of door that allows the AC to pass efficiently through, but doesn't draw attention to the fact that your washing machine is there, but still leaves it accessible. Anyone have any insights into how to solve this imaginary dilemma?

I´m guessing it uses the dryer ventilation duct

Ah, they don't use clothing dryers in Japan - everyone hangs stuff out to dry. And most apartments and homes have the washer in the washroom.
