The Temperature Controlled Shower Light Indicates Whether To Get In or Stay Out

052809hogwild01.jpgA dreaded sensation is jumping into the shower first thing in the morning when you're unsure whether the water has warmed up sufficiently. The (strangely horribly) named Hogwild 10690 Temperature Controlled Shower Light at first glance seems like a disco light show in the shower until you realize the red or blue LEDs change colour as the temperature increases or decreases, giving you a visual cue of whether you should stick you hiney into the shower or give it a few more seconds...

052809hogwild02.jpgWhen the water gets hot (89 degrees F), the LED lights in the Hogwild 10690 Temperature Controlled Shower Light change from blue to red, we think especially helpful for the elderly and young (or extremely geeky). Designed to fit a standard shower pipe, the Shower Light also acts as a flow regulator, letting through no more than 2.5 gallons per minute at 80psi while also giving your shower a nightlife glow as you lather up and rinse off.

When did sticking a hand in the water first become such a burden that it required this??

The reader who originally submitted the link to us mentioned that the color-warning was especially helpful for senior citizens and children, both whom are prone to accidents and burns in the shower. We can just stick our hands in the shower, but sometimes these sort of visual cues can be helpful for those with limited mobility.

Fascinating. I want to tote this to a family house in the country where the shower temperature is strangely erratic. Seems like it'd be fun to play with at home, too.
