Because our own little furry one is at the ER with a head trauma, we're dedicating this post to kittehs in the hopes that the feline gods and goddesses will do us a favor and make our Kitty Genius all better.
So for all you cat owners, if you own a laptop you've probably already noticed that cats love laptops -- sitting on them that is. And while it's awesome to have your bud near you as you type away, it can be worrisome when your computer's fan seems to be working overtime to cool down your pet's warming ways.
To keep a meltdown at bay may we suggest the Kitt-In Box?
That means hefty kits and pups can rest easy. 
The reason my cats like the laptop is its heat. I don't think I could convince them to sit somewhere else.

Awww, she's so cute! I hope she gets well soon. In my experience with my own little abandoned genius, they've got luck like you wouldn't believe (how else would they have found suckers to take them in?).
I have this sneaking suspicion that my older kitty would ignore that box. She lays on the keyboard because I'm not paying attention to her and it's much harder to save me from all that typing if she's in a box and not on my hands.

Thanks so much for all the sweet comments. She's hanging in there but still in the ER. Poor baby. I'll make sure she gets all the well wishes when I go visit her later.

I wonder if you put a heating pad in here if your kitty would move her caboose off your laptop and into this. Right now I'm looking at my cat crashed out on my toasty laptop and I'm worried about how hot it's getting in there.
