While it's not as technology featured as the DIY Fold-Away Editing Suite, this fold-away work station would be great for a kitchen or small apartment - and blends in great when closed ...

Lifehacker reader Jaypeecee created this tiny workspace on just 30" of wall space between a bookcase and a door. Utilizing some basic stock Ikea items (the Ikea PS Laptop Workstation plus two Ikea shelf brackets), he was able to create this great foldaway setup.

I'm confused as to why she needed shelf brackets...I'm fairly sure that ikea piece is meant to be mounted on the wall.

It looks like there is a chair rail behind the shelf. That would hinder direct mounting to the wall.
