The Quad is a modular storage system lasercut from 100% steel and lacquered to a smooth, shiny finish, which means it's strong enough not only to hold all your books and belongings, but it can also be used as a miniature workstation for laptop users. At least that's how it's being marketed...
The photo makes it seem like a cruel joke played upon a hapless intern: "Here Laurie, you get the Quad workstation. Now why don't you roll over here and take some notes!" All the while, her boss snickers from across the room from his full size desk and enjoys all the extra square footage saved.
At least they gave her a matching pink laptop.

The pinks, they clash something awful - just my opinion, of course but in that, I see no 'matching' laptop.
