Tall and Sleek Workstation Tucks Away Desktop Tower

Another great find from Ikea's Swedish forum. The bar-style DIY workstation was made using MDF while the LCD screen was mounted on the wall using a Vesa mount. We love that Sundis' computer tower hides within the desk, hidden from plain sight. But what's the white dome thing on the floor next to the desk?

I've been looking for a multi-purpose high table which would serve as a work area, dining area and storage. Does anyone know if this workstation is available in the US. Thanks!
