A few days ago, Sonia asked you about an Inspiration board that was similar to this workspace from graphic and web design firm Invisible Creature. The reaction? Not so positive.

While it does appear chaotic, organized chaos seems to be a system adopted by many people we know. More of a visual filing system, and it just seems to work for a space like this.

It's perfectly ordered, on close inspection, every edge is straight as a level, thoughtfully placed; I like it.
For the sake of disclosure, I also have one not unlike this, there's a large niche under some stairs in my place that I covered in a framed corkboard I made for the space, and as long as everything is neat and contained in the frame, I think it looks good.
I have various matching aluminum push-pin clips and magnets and photo corners, so I can (neatly!) display recent family photos, the movie ticket from that awesome night out with my friends, the sand dollar my partner and I found at the beach, the crazy psychic reader's broken-English flyer we found on our windshield, the postcard an artist friend drew to send us, the tiny plastic Meg Griffin toys I got from a gumball machine on our trip to Texas, and all that other ephemera that I accumulate.
Despite my partners accusations of scrapbooking, I insist that it's a matter of decor.
