A Media Set-Up With a Softer Side

051209_sz_mediaroom.jpg We're always on the look out for cool media set-ups. This is one of those set-ups. We're big fans of decorating around a flat screen mounted on the wall. In this scenario we especially like the vases and flowers arranged below the TV. It gives the cold, black gadget a softer edge...

 
 

Personally, we would hide the DVDs in the solid wood cabinets. We're not huge fans of showing off DVD cases. They just don't have the same je ne sais quoi as books.

I like the feminine touch here. Personally,i would not place anything really close to the TV itself and keep it clean but the rest of the design is really cute. Here are two photos of soft media setups that I found:

I think this is a really great touch. I must know - I love those dark grey boxes on top of the shelves. Where are they from?
