Who says you need to floor mount a dishwasher? That was the basis for the Electrolux Bifoliate Double Dishwasher concept, a finalist in the Design Lab 2009 contest sponsored by Electrolux. As recently posted over at Re-Nest, we too love the space-saving options and size of a wall mounted unit designed to clean smaller loads with ultrasonic wave technology. There are two containers, one for washing and one to dry/display your newly cleansed dishwares, with a very simple control panel. What do you think?

Why are products like this not the norm? I for one am sick of boring household appliances. This is why Dyson came from nowhere and dominated the hoover industry.

because it's not thought out at all. It's shown as just a plastic extrusion that hangs on the wall. Add in all the necessities like a pump, heating element, spray nozzles, controls that aren't upside down half the time, and you end up with a heavy, bulky, ugly piece of equipment that you have to call in a plumber and electrician to install.
