We're not the type to buy luxury goods from labels like Louis Vuitton, but we do like turning to them for inspiration. This custom-made trunk, made for a customer in China, features a portable DVD player powered by solar panels and a coffee maker powered by a can of petrol.

Where on earth are they traveling that they need this? I like the idea of a traveling multi-use trunk but come on...a solar powered DVD player??

Ugh, no thanks. IMO, Louis Vuitton is the ugliest designer garbage I've ever seen.

this would be awesome if you were live/working in a constant travel situation. (Like on a boat. I'd bet money that this is - or could be specified - water-tight.)
And LV trunks are now and have always been (since their inception in the 1850s) the best trunks in the business.

I think it looks awesome. But I can't think of anyplace I would actually use it.

Oh Please people!!!! There is diffidently a place to use this...Such as, when being stranded on the side of a road after you get kicked off a bus, perhaps your boat sinks in the Amazon and you just have to have a cup of coffee to calm your nerves! Or your plane crash lands and you are waiting for a rescue! Gillian's Island would never be the same!! At least you would never run of of sun light to power your DVD player!!!! The only thing missing is a FULL liquor bar!!
