Hot or Not? Philippe Starck's Bulbous Desk

Designed by Philippe Starck for Vitra, the $5K BaObab is constructed as a single piece using a polyethylene case and polyurethane foam coating. It comes in light gray, light yellow, aqua, lime green, or red.

I love this for families with small tots. It's very kid-friendly and practical for avoiding bumps and bruises.

If they had only parked a stylish Mac on the desk, they could have raised the number of "hot" votes.

This reminds me of the desks on the Flintstones for some reason.
