Maybe this is efficient, if the fridge is using some of the cast off heat to make hot coffee! Otherwise, seems like an inefficient use of energy to make something hot come out of a machine that is intended to make things cold.

Because you've added an extra point of failure?

Keeping functions in separate machines makes for easier fixing or replacement when something breaks, as it usually does, sooner than one hoped.
