Usually reserved for those who keep a laptop as their main machine, wall-mounted shelves can be the perfect perch for your workspace.
But in this post at Ikeahacker, we see that people with compact desktop units—like the iMac up there—can enjoy the same hackability.
Using a Ludvig Laptop shelf/charging station and a Ludvig Router/modem wall cabinet, Gérard from The Netherlands made himself a bang-up standing desk that solves the two biggest workspace worries. The router cabinet keeps all his wires hidden and and laptop shelf tucks away neatly when not in use.
looks somewhat....odd. and uncomfortable?

Extra bonus if he would have VESA mounted the iMac. Clean setup though!

hhope it is mounted into the wall good, if that is a 24" imac it weights around 25lbs, and the new ones weigh a bit more.
Also, the stool seems oddly tall in that photo, wihtout having a footrest on it, and your knees would hit the shelf.

Looks cramped. I don't think I could be there long.

Funny...I did something similar and I love it. I wanted to stand up and work at the computer--which is great for keeping a toddler away and for my bad back.

Is this setup exclusive to macs or will any all-in-one with a thin enough profile work?
Do I need a sarcasm tag?
