Easy Mod: CD Drum Case Planters

This week we'll be introducing some possible candidates for new Unplggd bloggers. The first we're welcoming is Taryn Fiol, who is starting her week off with some green ideas for the tech home office. Tell us what you think!

070808planter01.jpgInstructables.com user gate shows us a hip way to recycle something we’ve all got sitting near our computers into a small planter perfect for the windowsill. Not only will you be reducing, re-using and recycling, you’ll also be adding some extra greenery to your scenery. More information and step by step instructions after the jump…

070808planter02.jpgGate made a simple mod of those drum cases that our CDs come in and ended up with a cheap and easy-on-the-eyes windowsill planter. Recyclo-bot decal optional.

If you don't like the clear plastic look on the outside, cover it with some colored contact paper or self adhesive wallpaper for a designer look.
