While hanging with some friends last night, I ended up using one of their laptops to search for music. It was then that I stumbled upon this wonderful Firefox extension for web browsing that literally gave me the gesture powers and put me into the body of Tom Cruise from Minority Report. After a few hours, I was hooked.
Simply go to Marc Boullet's All-In-One Gestures Extension page and click the "Add to Firefox" button to install. Restart and you're all finished!
For those pre-testing the Release Candidate 2 for Firefox 3, go here to download the installer. You'll need to modify the install.rdf file in the installer and increasing maxVersion to 3.0 instead of 2.0.0.x
Go to Tools > Add-ons > All-In-One Gestures > Options.
Here, you'll learn all the cool actions you can make by holding down your right mouse button and making a "gesture" either to the left or right (to move backward or forward in history), up (to create a new tab), or down (to open up a new window). Other options include Full-Screening, minimizing windows, zooming, and anything else you can think of.
For years now, Opera has already had gestures built to their basic browser...no add-on or anything.
