How To: Integrate Your Moleskine With Your Digital Life

040309moleskine01.jpgThe Moleskine remains one of the most revered brands and products for the simple fact that the little bound drawing pads are infinitely helpful in a wide variety of situations. And they don't require a 3G network nor battery supply, input is proven to be perfect (well, near perfect, depending upon your penmanship) and easy to customize, and accessing pages via its GUI trumps any gesture based system. But how to get your information from your computer, cell or webpage over into your old school information Moleskine unit?

040309moleskine03.jpgMoleskine is now offering a free option to print images, text and contacts using their MSK Wizard and Contacts services. Title your page, upload any images, choose an alignment and the style of Moleskine the pages will be added to and then print out at home. Or transfer all your contacts from Outook, Plaxo or your phone and print them out in your Moleskine using a similar Contacts option.

Pretty nifty. For kicks print out an iPhone GUI page in front and mock your Apple zealot friends by gesturing to your contacts. They probably won't be amused, but you sure will be.

I want to say this is really cool. I love my moleskin's. But one of the biggest reasons is the thread binding of the notebook. There aren't random bits of paper that can fly out.

Maybe I've missed something, but printing out sheets of paper and shoving them into the Moleskin doesn't seem like its all that great. In fact this reminds me of the Filofax system. At least it was binder based, so things would absolutely stay in place.

That said, the new website with the Moleskin artwork is pretty sweet. And if you can actually insert these somehow without them being loose pages I'd be pretty sold.

Especially if they had a large-sized storyboard version. That would be sweet.

Lovemarks are the things Neil Patrick Harris leaves in the back of Kumar's car. Or was that stains? Yes. Stains. It was definitely love stains.
