How To Make A High-Fidelity Homemade Loudspeaker

093008_rg_josepino.jpgAfter having built a homemade speaker with a plastic cup, Jose Pino decided to try and make something newer version, simpler and better. His step-by-step guide will help you create your own. His guide even includes helpful videos in case pictures aren't good enough.

Jose Pino assures us that this homemade speaker is supposed to have a sound quality that competes with commercial speakers. We can already hear you grumbling or rolling your eyes. But read on! This homemade speaker uses a foam plate. Apparently, the best quality of sound is produced by a lightweight yet strong material, able to avoid excessive vibration.

Here are the materials that you'll need to construct your speaker. The author mentions that it should take you a bout 10 minutes. This makes this a really nifty project to do in your spare time.

  • Foam plate
  • Two strips of paper
  • Two business cards
  • Copper wire, AWG 32 (enameled)
  • Tape
  • Glue. (Hot glue works great)
  • Neodymium magnet
  • Audio plug

This would be fun! My audiophile friends would die. Which is a really good reason to do this!
