We've practically ditched all of our CD collection for digital media (though our vinyl collection remains intact), and we think many of you Unplggd readers are following suit as CD sales shrink and digital downloads grows. That may mean you might have some extraneous CD storage cases lying around. What to do, what to do? How To: Make a Portable CD Case Speaker System
His portable CD case project requires an 8W speaker, a CD case, an 18W amplifier module, Rocker switch, 3.5mm stereo adapter, a battery snap and a 9V battery, a soldering iron, glue gun, X-acto knife, and a drill...all available at your local Radio Shack and hardware store, making this a great weekend project. Plenty of good additional tips in the comments thread about variables and replacement speaker parts to use worth noting.
