Nothing rattles our chains like being interrupted from a music high. We invest in super high-quality sound systems so we can chill out in our apartments after a long day of work and lose ourselves in music—until our sonic heaven is interrupted by a buzzing hum from the speakers, quickly followed by a text message tone from our cell phone. So how do you stop that buzz? An easy solution is to turn of your cell.
But if you're not the type to cut the communication umbilical cord, we found a simple and inexpensive solution that will keep you connected and buzz-free at the same time: Rest your cell on an electrostatic shielding bag!
You can find one wrapped around a hard drive, router or other inside-a-computer electrical devices (The bags are designed to protect sensitive electronic components from electrostatic during handling, shipping, and assembly). All you have to do is rest your cell on top and you can still receive calls and texts while enjoying hum-free music—even right next to the speaker!

There is another option that works well.
Lay your cell down on top of a CD (remember those)? In 2009 there is a good chance you have a load of those laying round doing nothing.

I also hear that if you rub a balloon on your head while you shuffle your feet on a carpet floor and hold your phone with both hands, it has the same effect. :P
Seriously though, I tried this out and it didn't seem to work for me. Tin foil works good but I didn't receive any phone calls.

In my experience, 3G phones don't have this issue, or if they do it seems to be much less of a problem. I had an older blackberry and the buzz was horrible. Since upgrading to the BB Bold I haven't heard a sound. Well, other than the music :)
