How To: Turn Your iPod Touch Into an e-book

2008_06_13 ipod moleskine.jpgI have been seriously considering an Amazon Kindle even though the industrial design is far from pleasing and it can't really replicate the feel of a book. The funny thing is, the Kindle has a very Moleskine-esque book cover which may help to bring this gadget closer to a real book....or it may inspire someone to cut a hole in the pages of an actual Moleskine notebook and put an iPod touch inside it for a mini version of an e-book.

An x-acto knife, PVA glue, and a jailbroken iPod touch are what you need. Not to mention really good eyesight. Like the concept, but for actual book reading I think the small size is too much of a barrier for me.

I was thinking about doing that last night!

Also, it wasn't to make my own ebook. My thinking was more along the lines of "I don't want to be that guy on the bus going though my iPhone because I'll feel stupid."

Although it would look pretty weird to have your headphones coming out of your "book."

Super, a musical book! Is a good idea though because sometimes it’s hard to hold the Ipod Touch in your hand and read something on it comfortably. I read they are building electronic books with an Ipod touch style screen, sounds like it will be fantastic.
