ICFF 2009: Holey Shelves Help Save Cables

icff-2009.jpg We like to keep as much off our desk as possible, since no matter what it ends up cluttered by the end of the week. One way we keep the peace upstairs is bringing components like our modem and router downstairs – we installed most of our peripherals under a tea cart. But these Mobos shelves, seen at ICFF, gave us an idea....

052708_sz_mobos.jpgBecause they're perforated in a Swiss chesse-like design, you could put wired items on these and route wires through the holes, down the wall and to necessary sockets. One idea would be to put your external hard drive on one of these, mounted above your monitor so you could drop cables behind your monitor and to your tower or laptop. What do you think? Are we trying too hard?
