Yes, the 2008 Olympic Games has an Official Flash Drive

081108_tf_beijing_olympics_torch.jpgWhat better way to celebrate a quadrennial worldwide athletic event than a series of USB flash drives. Lenovo was the first Chinese company to support the Beijing Olympic Committee and is the official flash drive designer and manufacturer of the event. We didn't even know the Olympics had an official flash drive designer, but I guess you can market anything. Lenovo has released several limited editions of the Olympic-themed flash drives.

The first one (pictured above the cut) has the same material and design as the Olympic torch. The $980 4GB thumbdrive features the games' logo in the center.

The Mascot series consists of six 4GB flash drives: five printed with a cartoon image and one with the Beijing Olympic logo. This set goes for $199. 081108_tf_beijing_olympics_mascot.jpg081108_tf_beijing_olympics_mascot_1.jpg

The third collection comprises of what looks like five medallions that might be trying to mimic the medals won by the olympians. Every one of them has been sold out. 081108_tf_beijing_olympics_medallions.jpg

Only 10 sets exist of this extemely limited edition drive set. Five 1GB titanium drives with swiveling USB plug come in a special mahogany box. Price has not been released, but we can't imagine it's cheap.081108_tf_beijing_olympics_titanium_1.jpg081108_tf_beijing_olympics_titanium2.jpg
