Final Frame: Hasbro Toy Turned Work of Art

080508_sz_starwarschristies.jpg Last June, this graffiti laden Hasbro Star Wars toy sold at Christie's for $1,250...

All tags written on Suckadelic's piece of art are in the Aurebesh language, a fictional letter system seen in all six Star Wars films. The largest tag on the side of the vehicle spells the word REBEL.

I don't get this vehicle. I'm hoping some star wars fan can enlighten me. In the empire strikes back several of these things are attacking the rebel forces. The cockpit is in what would be the head. But as the AT-AT walker moves that head flies all over the place. Personally I would get very motion sick. And try aiming and firing while moving, even with the 'force'. They're not even buckled in. And what is in the belly? troop transport? engine? I think the AT-ST were deifinitely the way to go for the empire. It's this poor execution which really did it in for the empire which was better well organized and had so much more power. Somewhere in a galaxy far far away....

@funstraw-- there's a reason Star Wars is generally considered to be "Science Fantasy", rather than hard science fiction. Many reasons, actually =)

Still, very, very cool.

@Lindajeanne - FANTASY!?!? Everything in those movies HAPPENED a long long time ago, in a galaxy far, far, away. It's all well documented in movies, books, cartoons, and small actions figures. You apparently have no clue what you are talking about because you probably didn't go to a public High School.
