Inspiration: Iynque's Doubly Organized Workspace

051209_an_iynque1_medium.jpgIt's officially beautiful out (hooray!), so there's no better time than to get organized and clean up that desk to match! No worries, we've got some ideas to get you started (in addition to a few we've early last week). Here, we have a great dual-desk workspace by one of our very own at Unplggd. Come and enjoy Iynque's wonderful little space, after the jump.

051209_an_iynque2_medium.jpgOn the right, she uses IKEA to keep that budget under control, but also makes sure to keep things as minimal as possible. By placing up a bunch of IKEA LACK shelves to increase vertical storage, there seems to be a spot for every decorous piece, but importantly, frees up so there is room for the computer equipment on the main desk.

051209_an_iynque3_medium.jpgAs far as books go, Iynque has embraced the wall-mounted flying bookshelf method (which we love, btw), and used a thin wall profile mount to keep pens and Post-its away from the desk. More room = more creativity!

where is the teal chair from? The entire workspace looks great, makes me wish i could put some shelves in too, but the chair really pops in that color.

The Oh chair is really comfy, I have a bad back but I don't have any problems with it.

any idea where to get that color or is it gone for good? I have been searching since i saw this, i can only find it in black, pink, white, and green. Also wonder if krylon fusion plastic paint would bond good...

Would be even better is it had a U shaped metal leg, so it could slide on carpet better. I need a cheapish desk chair to replace an old office max monstrosity

What is the little blue tool box on the desk? I would love to get one for my office.

I'm wondering what kind of laptop stand that is? It looks nice and simple.

Hi, my desk! This is the first time I've seen this actually. Someone google'd me and then pointed this out :D

I'm glad everyone seems to enjoy my space. Thanks for the praise!

Sooo.... yes, that's the Oh Chair. I think the color is officially gone, but that doesn't stop you from finding it in stores here and there. ...and it is SUPREMELY comfortable. I discovered it at a store where I sat and immediately said, "Oh!" in the middle of the store. Then I asked my friend to sit and she said, "Oh!" as well. I think that's why it's the Oh Chair. I also agree about the legs and carpet. It slides fine, but it carved a gash in my carpet after being used there for a while. Oops. Use a plastic mat or a small rug if the chair is going on carpet.

The little blue tool box is from snap-on, but I believe it may have been a gift to employees or something (my brother works for them). A little research would reveal whether it is for sale to the public. ;)

The laptop is my 17" MacBook Pro. Macs are always lovely.

...PS- iynque is a man, baby! Wood, metal, glass, and flora that lacks flowers. My window treatment is a shower curtain hung on plumbing fixtures and electrical conduit! GEEEEZ. I guess I need a poster of a busty babe to reinforce my gender. :D
