Is this the future? We love the convergence of technology shown in this video. Your watch syncs with your portable device, which also talks to your car and your home TV/PC. We aren't loving the permanent earpieces everyone is wearing, and frankly, we don't get what the girls are doing in the club with their phone-like devices.
What would your apartment and life be like if everything worked together? Is this the future you envision?

looks like they're adding their own songs to the playlist. which highlights the reason why, even though all the technology to do this is available, its resisted - corporations holding on so tightly to their technology that they completely shut out any suggestion of interoperability. yeah we could all be throwing data back and forth with agreed upon XML schemas, open audio/video formats, etc, but who's building the devices that do so? who's going to front the money when someone else can make a competing product that has access to the same functions?
suddenly your product focus has to be on doing things genuinely better, not being the only guys doing it. that's likely terrifying for the status quo. in this case, copyright fears and DRM would kill these girls' chances of doing such a thing as uploading the music on their PMP in such a public, sharing way.

I did find the idea of a club that's completely silent to an outsider somewhat cool. :-)
