Did you know that the New York Public Library has a digital archive of 600,000 illuminated manuscripts, historical maps, vintage posters, rare prints and photographs, illustrated books, and printed ephemera, including illustrations from the John James Audubon. Ok, now get this! Many of these images can be purchased straight from the site, so you can have a print of an Audubon for a fraction of the cost -- starting at $30.
