apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

It's so awesome to see people you used to work with go out on their own and launch their own company. Becky Hui Chan is one of those people. She and I worked together at Wired Magazine, where she was a designer and I was an editor some 6+ years ago. We've kept in touch on and off over the years, during which she became the art director for ReadyMade Magazine and then scored a design gig at SYPartners.

Last year, after giving birth to her insanely adorable son, she left SYPartners and started Honey & Bloom. While she continues to freelance and work on contract for various companies, Honey & Bloom lets Becky concentrate on the things she loves about design. Most of her H&B work concentrates on graphic prints, including posters and greeting cards.

When I found out about her new venture and saw some snapshots of her office space I asked her to send over some more. Becky has always had an eye for great interior design that's sparse but filled with personality. Becky shares her 1,000 square foot San Francisco office space with Leigh Okies of Leigh Okies Designs and Office of Fine Print and Marieke van der Poel of Peclers Paris.
