Ipod docks are a dime a dozen. It seems that every week or every few days a new one comes out. That being said, not all of them are equal. Docks are pretty useful, especially if combined with an alarm clock. I tend to use headphones at all times since the sound is just that much better, but sharing music this way is pretty cool. If you don't have a sound system, plugging your iPod or iPhone into one is the best way to do this easily.
The E-Pod dock was created by Korean designer Eun Seok Huh. It crams a lot of features in a small form factor. It's compatible with your iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPod. It acts like a speaker, LCD projector, and an alarm clock. Apparently it promises powerful hi-fi sound in the size of an alarm clock. The thing that sets it apart is the projector, which would probably be some kind of pico-projector. Projectors generate a lot of heat and I wonder if integrating that in such a small size with other electronics would actually work.
Still, it looks pretty cool, just like something that Apple might design, and the fact that it accepts a lot of different devices make it very useful. Due to its small size and the fact that there is only one speaker unit integrated into the main device, we don't think that the sound will be that great. Still, it's a neat concept that will probably give designers some new ideas. [via Yanko Design, images by Eun Seok Huh]

Interesting looking dock, but what i really want is one that'd let me use my iPhone as my computer. Sounds silly, but all i do is email, surf the web, listen to music, watch the occasional video, and im friends. That's it, and an iPhone or iPod touch can do all that, so why not make a dock that hooks up to a keyboard and a monitor?
