The Wooden Iphone Case: Looks Good, But Is It Useful?

042409_rg_wooden_iphone_case_01.jpgWood is a material that we really like here at Unplggd. It's sustainable and nice to the touch. It's green and there is something about technological items made out of wood that is really appealing. Nothing is more ubiquitous than the iPhone, and it's interesting to see it in a wooden case. This sturdy wooden case will keep your treasured mobile safe from any perils.

It's a nice, clean and simple sliding design. You'll be sure to keep your iPhone clean of any damage, that's for sure, since it will be completed encased in wood. The wood is wenge, a typically dark wood from tropical climates.

The only problem that I can see is that none of the buttons are accessible with the case completely closed. You have to slide it open to do this. This could become a hassle, since most cases allow you access to the iPhone's functions. Still, it's a great looking case that will last you a long time. [via Crunchgear, photos via Substrata]
