The iPhone is great, it does more for the average tech consumer than most could ever ask for. But one complaint, not only about the iPhone but of any multi-tasking phone, is that playing most games on the limited controls is difficult. TouchArcade has found some evidence that iPhone accessories for portable gaming are on their way, turing your iPhone into a full-on Nintendo DS-like touch and button gamer.
iControl pad (above the jump) is a prototype design with and has four face buttons, a D pad, Start/Select and an LED indicator light. TouchArcade received another patent application design anonymously. It has an analog stick instead of a D pad, and places the Start/Select buttons over on the left.
We'll wait to see if the features and the pricing make this a worthy tool for us. But it sure is fun to see how many cool, weird and wacky applications and accessories that are being created daily for the iPhone.
