Art Lebedev Optimus Maximus Keyboard

Leave it to Lebedev. They always make us want their expensive inventions. This time it's the LED keyboard, Optimus Maximus, that's making us wish $1500 wasn't so much money. Why is it so cool? The keys are customizable, as you can see above.

Besides having multiple keyboard displays, the keyboard also has usb ports, an SD card reader (for storing your layouts), and a K-lock to tether it to your desktop. Because if you spent $1500 on a keyboard, you definitely wouldn't want it getting lost.

1500... wow, i'm surprised its so steep and still convinced someone will buy it.

dave - lebedev co almost always produce their hypothetical designs if they see that they a) can b) have a market for it. generally a fun bunch - the russian version of the website has a lot of fun stuff.
