Colourful Bodum Bistro Flatbed Toaster Line

102609Bodumflatbedtoaster.jpgWe've posted about Bodum's colourful line of kitchen appliances, including their toaster and tea kettles. Now Bodum has added a flatbed toaster available in 8 different colours and that takes care of odd sized/shaped baked goods with a 700-watt heating element ontop...

Other specs include a 10 1/4" x 7" stainless-steel surface for browning or defrosting baked goods, a heating temp dial to control how much heat is applied, and an under-mounted crumb tray slides out for crumb cleanup. The whole unit also stores away vertically on its side for space saving measures. About $90 online.

This is the most awesome thing I have ever seen! I freeze a lot of baked goods and have to remember to take them out soon enough to let them air-dry (so to speak), but sometimes I just don't have the time (ditto turning on the oven). I won't get a toaster oven - I refuse. I do wonder how well it works on warming through and not burning the bottom though...

@Kay McCurley

Just curious: why are you anti toaster oven?

Responding to akay: toaster ovens take up far more space than I have, being a (most likely permanent) apartment dweller. Plus I singed/charred my knuckles enough times on my ex's that I kind of hate them (which admittedly is my fault rather than the appliance but still).
