Another space saving solution from Alpes Inox are their corner cooktops which utilize an area of the kitchen often neglected and wasted. We only wonder how safe it is to use a flip-up design and if the units are designed to dissipate heat quickly enough to be flipped safely after cooking. And our last question is what the lady in the photo is cooking and ready to throw in that pot in the last photo.

This is not a new idea -- Frigidaire had similar fold-up units (albeit electric) in the '50s. Seems like a good idea, to me, although these particular units look a bit clunky.
