Belkin PocketTop

2007_06_29 belkin_sleevetop.jpg

If you tend to move from spot to spot with your laptop, the Belkin PocketTop is a useful little case. Well, it is a little bit more than just a case. For one, it acts as a lap cushion to keep the heat of your machine off your thighs. The unique bit of this design however is in the pocket located on the top of the case.

Your laptop charger stores nicely in this pocket while the end that plugs into your laptop is threaded through an internal hole so that you can keep the charger hidden but still plugged in. When you need to move, simply tuck the rest of the charger cable into the storage pocket, flip down the lid, and grab the edge of the pocket as a handle.

Available in silver, orange or green here for $49.99.

Wouldn't your laptop overheat a bit, sitting on a soft fabric surface?

I'm using mine right now...it has some strips inside which the laptop sits on so it isn't surrounded on the bottom by the fabric. Those belkin guys really know their game.

Does it zip around the edge or is it more a lap protector and less a carrying case? I can't tell from the picture and the Belkin site doesn't show detail.

It's both; it zips all the way around. It's also on ebay from sellers for a lot less than $49.99.
