BookBook Hardback Leather Case Has You Covered

The TwelveSouth BookBook is what we think of a bit of a design reversal: instead of a technological move toward digitizing the book format into an electronic device, the BookBook hides yours MacBook or MacBook Pro in the wonderfully scholarly disguise of an old fashioned book (yay, printed matter), operating as both a carrying case and protective measure for your laptop.

The $79.99 BookBook is available in two colours, Classic Black or Vibrant Red, both finished in hardback leather case sized to fit the MacBook and MacBook Pro. Definitely sure to be a conversation starter when you open that vintage tome to reveal newfangled tech within, likely to win points with luddites and bibliophiles alike for the charming surprise. Just be sure not to put it away into the stacks!

It's like putting your Playboy in a National Geographic.

I really like that, but I think I will make my own. That way I can make it an old tome of something specific rather than a generic $80 version they sell.

ethicalcannibal, if you come up with a good way to do it, please share! I'm not especially crafty but think this would be a really fun project.

As usual, the best laptop cases are for MacBooks. :/

I wonder how this effects the cooling capability?
