Foldable, Portable Laptop Stand for DJs

030409_tf_laptopstand1.jpgAny DJs out there? I'm not one, but I've heard the complaints of DJ friends who can't properly store or display their jockey neccessities and I've witnessed the plight of DJs who try to MacGyver themselves an elevated laptop stand out of whatever they've got lying around. Well fret no more, DJs. We found a foldable and portable stand made just for you...

The Stanton UberStand is made specifically to sit above your mixer for, as the product page on Guitar Center will tell you, "ergonomic DJ work!"

Features include a secure top shelf for a laptop and a smaller shelf underneath sized to hold an interface or scratch-amp. The stand also features wire straps along the backside to keep cords in place.

But there's no reason it's use has to be limited to those stocked with turntables. Depending on your desk top needs, you could put this to work as your own space saver. Check it out here.

Almost! Most DJ gear are overpriced pieces of crap. Any stand costs atleast $70. This is the better one. However its still ass backwards. If pushed back the thing can unfold throwing ur laptop in the crowd. They obviously noticed the design flaw so they included a ZIPTIE, ya ziptie, that they tell u to use inorder to prevent this from happening. Other than that its built really beefy and its sooo nice that it can fold into my backpack. However the price and major design flaw makes me cringe. I still own two though ONLY because I have no choice.

The other option is the odyssey which is bulky and requires u to use tools to dismantle it into an awkward pile of 90 degree metal parts. AWESOME.

Someone please make something better!

emikey - they had to make it cheap, since 99.9% of "DJs" don't make a dime and spend what little money they do have on trucker hats, retro 80's sunglasses, skinny jeans, and irony-laden tattoos...

^ funny and sad but true.

We use this at our outdoor parties and instead of the zip tie we use the velcro wire ties. Works just as well and is reusable.
