LapDawg: A Better Option Than a TV Tray

2008_06_19 lapdawg.jpgI sit on the couch as I write this, with my laptop in my lap. I do have a desk in a dedicated office space, but I tend to prefer to work on my computer from the couch. The funny thing is, no matter how comfortable I think I am, discomfort eventually, and suddenly, sets in.

This is due to me being hunched over my laptop as well as the uncomfortably warm spot that is created on my thighs. Not good. The LapDawg solves these issues by putting your laptop in exactly the right spot. The articulating arms make sure of it. Since it is made of anodized aluminum, we are pretty sure that it will be a solid piece. At just over 5 pounds it is also a very portable piece. Unfold it when you need it, fold it flat and tuck it under your couch when you don't. Instant office. Available here for $130.

It looks a little dangerous. I tend to rest my arm on my laptop. I'd be worried about it slipping off the sofa.

It would be even better if it were a mechanical arm the came out from under the sofa to hold your laptop.
