Using a Document Organizer as a Laptop Stand

It seems like everyday more and more people make the switch to laptop computers. That's great for the mobile business travelers If you're not in an airport or sitting in bed, you should try to elevate your laptop's screen to raise it to eye level and use an auxiliary keyboard to keep your wrists from straining. You could buy a device for just the occasion (pricey!) or just re-purpose something around the house like this...

Instructables user zengineer used a strong and sturdy metal document organizer like the one above to hold his laptop straight up and his screen at eye level.

This litte DIY trick also has a smaller desktop footprint and has the added bonus of being able to store your books and folders neatly behind your laptop, leaving plenty of desktop space for USB gizmos you probably don't need.
