We love our Seagate FreeAgent Pro. It's roomy, fast, quiet and it has that Tron-aesthetic that wouldn't be out of place in a Daft Punk video. We also say that knowing the black and orange case compliments our dual black Dell monitors, but wouldn't look so good if we had Apple branded aluminum cinema displays. It appears Seagate is going to play nice with Apple's aesthetics with these rumoured upcoming FreeAgent Pro updates...
Leaked Seagate FreeAgent Disks?
Engadget reports the updated drives will ship in a variety of case colours, including grey, black, and silver with highlighting colours of red, green, gold, pink, and more. For now, the external drives will likely be offered at 5,400RPM speeds, but plans for a speedier 7,200RPM model is almost guaranteed.
