Light Facet: Diamond Shaped Light and Room Divider

060809_rg_lightfacet_01.jpgLarge rooms and lofts are great, providing that you know what to do with so much space. It can be a daunting project, but one way to work with large room is by using room dividers. Room dividers are cool, but they tend to be similar and they don't always work. Maybe that's why the Dutch design studio Blooming came up with Light Facet which combines lighting and a room divider.

060809_rg_lightfacet_02.jpgThe Dutch studio Blooming has created this hybrid lighting fixture and room divider appropriately named Light Facet. The diamond shaped modules can be rotated individually in order to control the lighting. Unlike most room dividers, Light Facet is firmly set into place via ceiling fixtures. This makes Light Facet a more permanent solution to large rooms. This means that they can't be easily moved around, but if they are well placed, they can do wonders to rooms. What we really like is that this divider will then also produce diffuse light. We like diffuse light because it can create great moods.

They remind us of something that could be easily found in a club or boutique hotel. That fact alone makes them something really interesting to have in your place. Now this I seriously covet. Great find! I could seriously see myself buying this assuming I could afford it.

How do you buy this in the US? There is no information on the website. Most of these posts are nice, but worthless if you can't actually buy these products.
